The Asus Eee PC’s First Road Trip
I’m heading into New York this evening for some business meetings. It’s the first time I’ll be traveling with my Asus Eee PC.
I’m pretty impressed with the Eee PC so far, and so are my kids. But I look forward to using the sub-notebook in Starbucks (for WiFi connectivity) and while attending an IT event on May 14. Interested to see if it can replace my MacBook Pro for basic email and connectivity/communication applications while I’m on the road.
Of course, I won’t be leaving the MacBook Pro at home, though. It remains my go-to system while on the road.
Has anyone made a “complete” move to the Eee PC as a primary mobile notebook?

Update: The Asus Eee PC performed flawlessly when connecting to WiFi in hotels, coffee shops, etc. I still like my MacBook’s big screen. But I suspect the 9 inch Asuse Eee PC screen would be big enough for me to consider Eee PC as my complete laptop replacement.
Still, I’m not ready to make that move at the moment. My current Asus Eee PC (seven-inch screen) is something for me to test. And my MacBook Pro remains my production laptop because, well, I love it.
I currently use the Eee as my primary computer. But for gaming I have a much more powerful desktop. but it rarely gets turned on anymore.
