<description>1. This is focused on eeepc like devices and should run on a wide range of devices, It is mainly designed for touch based interfaces but it will work fine in any device in this class.

2. google android is vaporware at the moment. All we have is a sdk and the promise that they will release the source coode some time in the future. Android requires an arm 5 based cpu but because of the way it is built it may be possible to port it to x86. to build an adroid app you go from java &gt; bytecode &gt; android vm. We need the full source code for android under a licence that allows redistribution (the sdk currently has restrictions). Though there are more open source than commercial developers there tends to be a large lag time between a massive code dump and a vibrant community.

3. it is a touch friendly interface with large buttons to make it friendly for fingers.

4. it IS a oem distribution not a consumer distribution. It is designed for an oem to customise it. This is a base for the oem to build on, an oem is able to customize with a different look and possibly commercial packages such as multimedia codecs and other commercial packages not in ubuntu.
I would not be surprised if there are products within a month there may have already been devices announced that run or are planning to run it.</description>
